International Medical Corps

The International Medical Corps provides training and delivers healthcare and related services to those affected by conflict, natural disaster or disease. The organization trains people in their own communities, providing them the skills needed to recover, to chart their own path to self-reliance and to shape their own future as they become effective First Responders. The International Medical Corps has sent medical teams to the Bahamas to provide medical care to impacted residents.

Team Rubicon

Team Rubicon utilizes the skills and experiences of military veterans and first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Team Rubicon has teams deployed across the U.S. and around the world to provide immediate relief to those impacted by disasters and humanitarian crises. After immediate response, they engage volunteers to rebuild areas ravaged by natural disasters. Team Rubicon has sent a team to the Bahamas to provide emergency medical services to impacted residents.

Convoy Of Hope

As a faith-based, nonprofit organization Convoy of Hope helps people throughout the world by sharing food, water, emergency supplies, agricultural know-how, and opportunities that empower people to live independent lives, free from poverty, disease and hunger. They are deploying 24 shipments over the next four weeks to the Bahamas which will include shelf-stable food, water, tarps, hygiene kits and lights.

Center For Disaster Philanthropy

The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) recently launched its 2019 Hurricane Season Recovery Fund. The fund, much like CDP’s other funds, will focus on medium and long-term recovery needs, which may include rebuilding homes and livelihoods; meeting the needs of vulnerable populations; supporting mental health services; and addressing pressing needs that will arise after immediate relief needs are met.

Direct Relief

Direct Relief is a medical relief organization, active in all 50 states and 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations. Direct Relief is working closely with the Bahamian Ministry of Health, large-scale regional organizations and other humanitarian groups to deliver vital aid to those affected by Hurricane Dorian.
